Welcome to "Here's What I Got For Ya", A new twist on an old blog. My old blog "Here's what I got" hasn't been used in so long, I decided to start fresh. I will keep my old blog active because it has some great memories as well as my trips to Spain and Afghanistan. I'll post a link to it once I figure all this out again. So, onward with the new blogging venture, right? I'm about to embark on yet another journey and I want to share it with you. I'll be leaving for Antarctica soon, yes, you read that right, ANTARCTICA!!!!. If you want to follow along, I'll try to do a daily update with photos to give you an idea of life on the ice. To start with, lets do a weather check to give you an idea of the conditions. It's becoming "Summer time" down there so there's a heat wave happenin' now. Today the high was 0 with a low of -23 at McMurdo Station I'll be at. At the South Pole Station the high was -37 with a low of -53. This is much better than earlier in the week when it was -86 with a wind chill of -129. I can't even fathom that kind of cold just yet. Stay tuned, more updates to follow!
